Welcome to my Visioncare blog. My name is Dr. Lawrence Wang and I am an optometrist at Optic Gallery Family Eyecare (www.opticgallery.com/centennial) in one of the greatest cities in the world, Las Vegas, NV. Did you know Las Vegas was ranked as the dry eye capital of the country? The arid air, the dust, and the pollen assault our eyes everyday. Add on top of that contacts lens wear, excessive sun exposure, and dry air conditioned air blowing on your eyes 15 hours day, well, it's no wonder our eyes are dry here!
The purpose of this blog is to profile new eyecare technology and techniques that go into the eye exam at your eye doctor's office. After practicing optometry for over 15 years, I am hoping to answer some common questions about the eyes and as well as profile some incredible new technologies available in the eyecare arena. I'm looking foward to showcasing some really cool technology and educate everyone out there about "your eyes" and hopefully make a difference in people's lives.
